Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of professional house moving, villa relocation, office shifting, furniture packing, furniture assembly, and storage services provided by JKC Movers & Packers (operating under Al Taj Al Thahabi Transport, Po. Box 40480 Sharjah, UAE). By making a booking or signing a service quotation, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.

2. Quotations & Pricing Structure

All initial quotations provided via website form, phone call, or WhatsApp are estimates based on the details supplied by the Customer (such as apartment size, origin/destination cities, floor level, and special items).

• Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless explicitly extended in writing.
• If additional items, extra packing materials, unexpected stairs (due to elevator breakdown), or extra stops are added on moving day, additional charges will apply accordingly.
• Fixed price contracts require a physical or virtual video survey prior to move confirmation.

3. Customer Obligations & Access Permits

The Customer is responsible for ensuring the following prior to crew arrival:

• Obtaining all necessary Move-In and Move-Out permits (NDT, building management gate passes) required by residential communities or commercial towers.
• Reserving service elevators and parking access close to the building entrance for our moving trucks.
• Disconnecting electrical appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, gas cylinders) unless prior installation service was agreed upon.
• Ensuring all personal cash, jewelry, passports, high-value electronics, and legal documents are secured by the Customer personally.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that moving schedules can change. To cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking:

• Notice provided more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time incurs no cancellation fee.
• Cancellations or delays caused by missing building management permits on moving day may be subject to a nominal rescheduling fee to cover truck and crew allocation costs.

5. Excluded Items & Hazardous Goods

For safety and legal compliance under UAE regulations, JKC Movers & Packers will NOT transport:

• Flammable liquids, gas cylinders, fireworks, chemicals, or explosives.
• Illegal substances, narcotics, or prohibited goods.
• Perishable foodstuffs or unsealed liquids liable to spill and damage furniture.
• Cash, currency notes, gold, precious jewelry, negotiable securities, or legal identity documents.

6. Liability, Insurance & Claim Protocol

Our professional crew takes extreme care when wrapping, dismantling, and transporting your items using high-grade bubble wrap, corrugated sheets, and heavy-duty blankets.

• In the rare event of accidental damage during transport directly caused by our team, claims must be reported to our supervisor on moving day or within 24 hours in writing with photographs.
• JKC Movers & Packers is not liable for pre-existing damage to furniture, weak particle-board (press-wood) furniture, or items packed independently by the Customer.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the move on the same day unless corporate credit terms have been pre-arranged in writing. We accept Cash, Bank Transfer, and Card payments.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the Federal Laws of the United Arab Emirates and the local courts of Sharjah / Dubai.
